I wanted to thank you for the outstanding job you did as the DJ for Michael’s Bar Mitzvah luncheon reception.  Of course, we had a great feeling about you based on the references you provided and on the first time we met, when you were so flexible in coming down to Virginia to meet with us.  When you came to our house again to review the final details a few days before the Bar Mitzvah, you both made us completely confident that we had made the right choice.  We were particularly impressed by the combination of your willingness to accommodate our specific desires and your enthusiasm.

Well, those feelings turned out to be completely justified.  Everything you did contributed to a wonderful party experience.  Of course, we were grateful that you arrived at Clyde’s so early and had everything set up well ahead of time.  And as soon as the reception moved from the downstairs cocktail hour to the party room, you were ready to “rock and roll”.  You did so much more than just play music:  you were a fantastic Master of Ceremonies, always keeping the party moving along.  The enthusiasm that both Faith and you displayed was infectious.  And perhaps most importantly, you kept the youth entertained the entire time.  I know it would have been so much easier for you if there had been a greater gender balance, or even if there had been mostly girls.  But with mostly adolescent boys as the youth audience—not exactly prone to dancing—you had to come up with one activity after the other to hold their attention and keep them amused.  I can assure you that Michael and every one of his friends reported that they had a great time.

And so did all the adults.  I had been worried about the possibility of the party “fizzling out” after the first couple of hours.   Well, the 5:00 curfew arrived, virtually everyone was still there, and Clyde’s basically had to evict us to get the room ready for their evening affair. 

So, thanks again for your efforts, and also please pass our thanks along to Faith.  I hope you’ll look back on our affair as an enjoyable “gig”, and that you will always remember ours as the first party you DJ’d with your new laser light show (what luck for us)!  As we mentioned to you, we’d be glad to have you use us as a reference.

Thank you so much for providing the fabulous entertainment for Sara’s Bat Mitzvah party.  I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect.  The room looked spectacular when I arrived.  Your advice to get enough LED magnets for the adults was right on target.  I was surprised to see that most of the adults were wearing them by the time I even arrived at the restaurant!  The kids danced for four straight hours and had a great time.  The adults had a great time too… everyone had a great time!  The music wasn’t to loud so that people could talk and you provided dancing music for all ages.

Again, thanks so much for a job well done.  Please don’t hesitate to use me as a reference for future clients.  As soon as Benjamin gets his Bar Mitzvah date I’ll be giving you a call.

Neil and Faith were the DJ’s at my son’s Bar Mitzvah and they were exceptional!  We had an extremely diverse group of people, few of who knew each other.  In addition, there were several young children and older individuals who are generally excluded from the festivities of most Bar Mitzvahs.  This was not the case here.  The Kaplan’s paid attention to all the party-goers.  They were able to get everyone up on the dance floor almost immediately and kept the party moving along.  Several of the younger members told us that they had intended to leave the party early but they were having so much fun that they stayed to the end.  The younger children felt like they were part of the party (and they were) because the games and dances that the Kaplan’s played included them.

The music was not loud (a frequent complaint at parties) and the Kaplan’s were sensitive to the needs of the party-goers with the selection of music.

I would highly recommend the Kaplan’s for other parties and I will certainly not hesitate to call them again for our next event.

Just a note to tell you how much we enjoyed By Request Entertainment at our nephew’s Bar Mitzvah celebration.  It was the first occasion we had to be entertained by you and your superb talent.  You particularly impressed us by your ability to play to all ages.

Please excuse the tardiness in sending off a letter to you concerning the part you and By Request Entertainment played in a most successful event at Beth El Hebrew Congregation.  

However, I did not want another day to go by without thanking the both of you -- our December Dinner Dance of the Decades was a huge success, and you both contributed greatly to this success. Needless to say, when planning an event such as this, which needed to appeal to all ages, selecting the right disc jockeys was critical.   After talking with you about our demographics, you came in dressed appropriately, prepared with the right mix of music, interacted well with our crowd, and presented yourselves as the true professionals that you are.   As the chairperson of this event, I am still receiving great feedback from those who attended!  I am only sorry that you are already booked for my next event in March.

Neil and Faith, as you know, in addition to volunteering in several organizations, such as Beth El, I am also a professional event planner/decorator.   In this capacity, as well as in my volunteering roles, I will recommend you and your company with confidence.  Please feel free to use me as a reference in the future -- it is the least I can do to, once again, say 'thank you'.

Faith and Neil Kaplan provided DJ services for the party following our son’s Bar Mitzvah and they were WONDERFUL!  THANK YOU so much! They had 25 thirteen year olds playing games and interacting before the kids had a chance to remember they were supposed to be acting like teenagers.  I was especially impressed by the interactions with the them.  And the party only got better from there.  The Circle of Life preceding the Hora was a big hit and seemed so much more inclusive then the candle lighting ceremonies we have witnessed at other B’nai Mitzvot parties.  The adults had just as much fun as the kids!  .   I would whole-heartedly recommend Faith & Neil to anyone planning a Bar or Bat Mitzvah party and would be glad to speak by phone with anyone desiring further information.  I'm feeling kind of sorry we don't have younger kids, so we could plan to enlist their services again for their B'nai Mitzvot.  But who knows...there are always weddings, although hopefully we are a number of years away from that!
